Here's a new recipe that's perfect for football season, Charleston Cheese Dip! I found this on Food Network and tweaked it just a tiny bit. I usually double this recipe for crowds larger than 5-6 people. It's super easy, and always a big hit!
Charleston Cheese Dip, adapted slightly from Food Network
Ingredients:
1/2 cup mayo
One 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack
1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
Dash garlic powder
Dash black pepper
8 Ritz Crackers, crushed
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Corn chips or bagel chips for serving
Preheat oven to 350.
In a bowl, mix mayo, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, monterey jack cheese, ranch mix, garlic powder and black pepper. Transfer the mixture to a shallow baking dish. Top the mixture w/ cracker crumbs and bake for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook and crumble the bacon slices.
Remove dip from oven and immediately top w/ crumbled bacon. Serve w/ corn chips or bagel chips.
